World Hope International (WHI) is a Christian relief and development Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) working in Sierra Leone with vulnerable and exploited communities to alleviate poverty, suffering, and injustice through Health, Education, Anti-trafficking in persons, Water and Sanitation, Agriculture and Livelihoods interventions. We seek applications from suitably qualified and competent persons to fill the following position.
JOB SUMMARY
The HDSS enumerator occupies the central position in the HDSS because he/she collects information from respondents. The HDSS enumerators will report directly to the CHAMPS HDSS supervisor; and he/she is responsible for the completion of the data and the maintenance of data quality, training, following all protocols of the pregnancy and health demographic surveillance system (PS/HDSS) project in enrolling participants, gaining consent, data collection, reports. This position is highly team oriented, and all candidates must be willing to be part of an active team.
Requirements
ECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
Minimum diploma public health, CDS Health, nursing, from an accredited and approved Institution/University.
- Minimum 1 year proven working experience with an NGO, INGO or Health Facility in similar position.
- Minimum 1 year engaging in active surveillance
- Minimum 2 times participated on data collection/ survey in similar position • Good problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and good teamwork spirit.
- Must be fluent in speaking English, Krio and local language within the area of operation (Bombali Shebora and Siari chiefdoms)

About the Role
MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Locating the structures and households in the sample and completing the Household Questionnaire
- Identifying all eligible respondents in those households
- Interviewing all eligible respondents in the households using the RedCap platform
- Checking completed interviews to be sure that all the required questions were asked, and the responses recorded correctly
- Returning to households to interview respondents who could not be interviewed during the initial visit.
- Completing the relevant sections of the RedCap Questionnaire, handing the tablet over to supervisor.
